Before accepting a transfer, make sure to sign out of any open Ticketmaster sessions and sign in only to the account where you want to receive your tickets. This is important because, when you select Accept Tickets, they could be added to a different account if another session is active on your device or browser. Before proceeding, confirm that you are signed in to the correct account. Once the transfer is accepted, check My Tickets to make sure your tickets appear correctly.
Ticket Transfer is not available for all events or ticket types. In addition, certain situations may prevent you from sending or receiving a transfer.
Find the issue you’re experiencing below and follow the recommendations.
For the full process of sending tickets, see How do I transfer my tickets?
If you can’t find the Transfer option or it appears disabled, your tickets may not be eligible for transfer.
This may happen when:
- The event organizer, artist, or venue does not allow transfers for the event or your ticket section.
- Ticket Transfer has not yet been enabled for the event.
- The event was canceled.
- The event has already taken place.
What can I do?
- Sign in to your Ticketmaster account and open the relevant event.
- Review your tickets and look for the Transfer option.
- If the option does not appear or is disabled, check your account again later, as transfers may be enabled closer to the event date.
Ticket Transfer availability depends on each event and may change. If the organizer enables this feature later, the Transfer option will appear for your eligible tickets.
You need to access your account to start a transfer. If you’re having trouble signing in or completing account verification:
- Confirm that you are using the correct account details for the account where your tickets are located.
- Try using a different browser or device.
- Try a different internet connection.
- If you use a VPN, Apple Private Relay, or a similar service, temporarily turn it off and try again.
-
If you don’t remember your password, try resetting it.
- If you’re trying to reset your password and don’t receive the code, do not close the tab. Request a new code instead.
Once you can access your account again, check your tickets to confirm that the Transfer option is available.
If you still can’t sign in, see Unable to sign into My Account.
I didn’t receive the invitation to accept the tickets
If someone transferred tickets to you but you can’t find the invitation, first identify how it was sent.
If the transfer was sent by email
- Check your inbox.
- Search for the artist’s name, event name, or terms related to the transfer.
- Also check your Spam, Junk, and Promotions folders. Confirm with the person who sent the transfer that they used the correct email address.
If you still can’t find the invitation, ask the person who sent the tickets to check the transfer status from their account.
If the transfer was sent by SMS
- Make sure the person who sent you the tickets has phone credit available.
- Check your messages and look for the invitation.
- Confirm with the person who sent the transfer that they used the correct phone number.
- Ask them to check from their account whether they can send the invitation again.
I receive an error when accepting the tickets
If you received the invitation but get an error when trying to accept the tickets:
- Refresh the page and check whether the tickets already appear in your account.
- Confirm that you are signed in to the correct account.
- Sign out of any other Ticketmaster sessions open in different tabs, browsers, or devices.
- Avoid using a public Wi-Fi network.
- If you use a VPN, Apple Private Relay, or a similar service, temporarily turn it off.
- Clear your browser’s cookies and history.
- Try accepting the tickets again.
If the problem continues and the transfer is still pending, ask the person who sent the tickets to cancel it and create a new transfer.
If this does not resolve the problem, contact Fan Support.
I accepted the tickets, but they don’t appear in my account
If you already accepted the transfer but can’t find the tickets:
- Sign out and sign back in.
- Confirm that you are signed in to the correct account.
- Update the Ticketmaster app if an update is available.
- Check the My Tickets section again.
If the transfer was made from Ticketmaster in another country, sign in to that country’s corresponding Ticketmaster website.
How do I change countries?
When you open the app for the first time, a message will appear allowing you to select or change your country. To do so, select the flag in the upper-right corner and choose the appropriate country.
The person receiving the tickets has not accepted them yet
If you sent the tickets and the transfer is still pending, it means the other person has not completed the acceptance process.
You can:
- Check the transfer status in your account.
- Confirm that the recipient’s contact information is correct.
- Ask them to check their email or text messages, depending on how the invitation was sent.
- Remind them to check their Spam, Junk, or Promotions folders if you sent the invitation by email.
- If the invitation was sent by SMS, confirm that the message was sent successfully.
While the transfer remains pending, you can cancel it if you need to correct the recipient’s details or send the tickets to someone else.
I want to cancel a transfer
You can only cancel a transfer while the other person has not accepted the tickets.
If the transfer is still pending:
- Sign in to your Ticketmaster account.
- Open the relevant order in My Tickets.
- Find the pending transfer.
- Select Cancel Transfer.
- Confirm the cancellation.
After canceling it, the tickets will become available in your account again. You can keep them or start a new transfer.
The person already accepted the tickets, and I want to recover the transfer
An accepted transfer cannot be canceled.
Once the person accepts the tickets, they are moved to that person’s account, and any tickets remaining in your account are no longer valid for entry to the event.
If you transferred the tickets by mistake, contact the person who received them directly and ask them to transfer the tickets back to your account, provided that Ticket Transfer is still available for those tickets.
Can all tickets be transferred?
No. Availability depends on the event and ticket type. The organizer, artist, or venue may decide whether Ticket Transfer is available.
Can the Transfer option become available later?
Yes. For some events, Ticket Transfer may not be available initially and may be enabled closer to the event date. Check your tickets periodically for detailed information about the Transfer option.
Can I transfer only some tickets from my order?
When Ticket Transfer is available, you can select the eligible tickets you want to send.
Does the person receiving the tickets need a Ticketmaster account?
Yes. They will need to sign in or create an account to accept the tickets.
Can I cancel a transfer?
Yes, but only while the person receiving the tickets has not accepted them.
What happens after the other person accepts the tickets?
The tickets move to their account, where they receive valid event entry credentials. The corresponding tickets in your account will no longer be valid for entry.
Can I recover a transfer after it has been accepted?
You cannot cancel a transfer once it has been accepted. If you sent the tickets to the wrong person, you will need to contact them and ask them to transfer the tickets back, provided the tickets are still eligible for transfer.
Can I transfer tickets that are not yet available to view?
Whether you can transfer them depends on the event’s settings. Check your order: if the Transfer option is available, the tickets are eligible for transfer even if you can’t yet view their entry code.
